| Um, I do know, obviously, that Everybody was the first single, but in the US. The UK is weird, since they re-released Holiday, Borderline and Into The Groove (among one or two others). With Holiday, they changed the "train sleeve" after the initial pressing, and in 1991 they re-issued Holiday as a normal single and with that clear vinyl picture disc. Borderline and Into the Groove were re-released as shaped picture discs...but I think that Holiday was the first release there. I thought it was in Australia as well (it was the first I'd heard of), but then that doesn't explain the existence of a New Zealand 7" pressing of Everybody...no wonder it's worth so much, it must be incredibly RARE!!! Also, I do know that Burning Up was released before Lucky Star. I think that Lucky Star was the final single, released after Borderline, which would have been the biggest hit off the first album (followed by Holiday). Holiday original 1985 picture disc Holiday 1991 UK re-issue Borderline re-issue UK shaped picture disc Into The Groove re-issue UK Heart-shaped picture disc

| Well I'm happy to do what I can, I don't have much in the way of prizes but am happy to donate and facilitate in any way I can. Whether we go with a quiz or a task is all good with me. Maybe we could get everyone to vote on what they would like once we have some definite ideas? |

| Well, I think a slightly tricky multi-choice quiz would be fine - I think Brad was worried we'd set up some sort of "mastermind" Madonna challenge. But we'd have to try to be careful that the answers are not so "google" friendly. Maybe something like Q:"Where has Madonna sold more records per head anywhere in the world? A: Australia. Or her first no.1 (Holiday), country: (Australia). |

| Was thinking something a bit more fun than a quiz. How about: summarise her life story in 300 words or less? _________________ |

| In case u care, definitely not Lucky Star - must have either been Everybody (1st American release) or Holiday. Madonna actually wrote Lucky Star for Steven Bray because of the producing work he did on Everybody (even though it ony went like top 20 on the Billboard Dance Chart). |

| I've got all four of the UK shaped picture discs (Crazy For You, Into the Groove, Dress You Up and Borderline), had one Dress You Up that had discoloured a bit and one that was broken, sold those, but was wondering what causes them to discolour?? You see alot on ebay that have done that... I was thinking it may be exposure to sunlight, or maybe just the manufactering process, but why have only some started to discolour and not others??? LOVE your Lucky Star 12"!!!! Have never seen that one - I have a couple of the Aust. Borderline Triple Mix 12" PS and the pink Holiday 12" PS. Once saw a tatty PS 12" Burning Up on ebay Aust. - but passed, it went for about AUS$60.00, but looked crap. The Holiday, Borderline & Burning UP 12" sleeves are all unique to Australia. Not sure about the Lucky Star one - but I know those are - which makes them alot more valuable - Betweeen $125 - 145.00 (depending on where you look - eg: 991.com). |

| The Lucky Star is from the UK. BTW, here is another fav of mine, it's one of the best (I believe) official picture disc madonna has ever released. It's another UK gem of Like A Virgin, it even comes with it's own die cut sleeve. |

| I think it has to do with the manufacturing, it can't be exposure to light as all mine have always been stored away in dark cupboards!! Still riles me up though as with the Dress you up it's only just started to happen!! after all these years!!
