I was thinking that...I wondered if you'd heard of Don McLean's original version at that tender age? I never said I didn't like it though, I always have, but I recall alot of people saying they HATED it at the time!! (It was still cool to be "so over" Madonna at the time though, I guess.) Don McLean was asked whether he liked her version - haha - he said he loved it - he was getting plenty of royalty cheques, thanks!! He didn't mind at all.
