I think it's time to show off a little of what we have aquired from down under. Here's my picture of my most favorite things I have of Madonna, I could sell most of my stuff if needed but these things I can never part with.

You've just made candyperfumegirl go green Razz

I also have that LAP picture disc CD - that is incredibly rare (bought mine in Sydney). I contacted someone on a big Madonna site about it - he thought it was a fake since he'd never heard of it - he later saw one auctioned in the UK for over GBP200.00. The Papa Don't Preach pic disc is rare, and the You Can Dance (love them, got the Papa Don't Preach not long ago). Also just won an auction for the DSS cd - I see you have the LP. I have the Royal Box (but the cassette version) - still has the poster though. You mentioned somewhere the 12" for Another Suitcase In Another Hall - I read on 991.com the other day - about the cd - that it was only released in a few countries and then the single was withdrawn after a few days.... (I have the Bedtime Story "book" cd, would like the blue velvet cd album version....)

That is not the LAP picture disc cd, it's dear jessie. I have heard about the LAP pic disc, never seen it in real life. From all accounts it's from Australia but many believe it's a bootleg. Still I would like to have it I guess but your right, so expensive!!! Shocked I have the DSS soundtrack on CD also, does yours also have "Mr Right"? Even the record does. . . Pity it does not contain the song Desperately Seeking Susan which I heard Madonna recorded a demo of that title (never released) they decided to go with Into the groove instead.

It was pressed in Germany, but for some reason they only appeared in Australia for sale. No-one seems to know much more about them. The guy, I think at Madonnacollector.com is now sure it's for real after he saw one auctioned. I'm sure it is too, I bought mine from the Virgin megastore (near) George St in Sydney - well, it has the same picture on it as the Dear Jessie - cd single?? I've actually just recently paid for the DSS cd - it hasn't arrived yet - I was also bidding on the LP, but lost out on that one. Sad

Hey, Gen!! The LAV white vinyl arrived today!! Told you it wouldn't take long to get here!!! Cool

It's not actually a soundtrack to the movie - there was no actual soundtrack.

Could've been the answer to your solution of where to download a copy, Genie - buy one instead! Very Happy

And glad to see you're having fun with the edit button Shane, lol. My coworkers now think I'm a lot weirder. Embarassed

Although I recently found a download and saved it preciously onto CD as well as my external drive.

But hells teeth, Never even crossed my mind to add the CD and Vinyl to my collection- Just found a cassette and CD, so will look forward to the Vinyl one day.

I love that score, it soooo brings the movie back to ones mind vividly when listening to it.

I love the song that plays over Madonna's introduction. It's a remake of "Urgent" by Foreigner. It's now high up on my Most Played playlist on my iPod - totally awesome song. The whole thing is just, written for her.

"You're not shy, you get around
You wanna fly, don't want your feet on the ground
You stand up, you won't come down
You wanna live
You wanna move to the sound

Got fire in your veins,
Burnin' hot but you don't feel the flame.
Your desire is insane.
You can't stop until you do it again."

That was the original track by Foreigner wasn't it? (It was 1985).

I always thought it was the original - hmmm, better check the movie end credits! It always sounded exactly the same as the original to me.

By Junior Walker - I never even realised it wasn't Foreigner - but now it sounds different. I loved Prince's The Beautiful Ones - the opening bars repeated, used in DSS. Cool

she gets off the bus and does the famous armpit under the hand dyer routine?

"New York City by Day" I think its is.

If you meant in the movie Purple Rain- oh yeah, very passionate when he gets all jealous when he sees his girl hanging with Morris lol

"Do you want him! Or do you want me? Cuz I want you! Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeechhhhhhhhh cuz I want youuuuuuuuuuuuuu!"
Omg, sing it Prince! Go ahead with your bad self!

I meant in DSS - the song also plays I think when she's walking down the street eating those cheese doodles and stealing newspapers out of the machine. You sound like a Prince fan too! I've been lucky enough to see him live in Sydney twice! (That's when I bought the missing cd's of his I didn't have). Parade is a great album. I'd already bought the Mountains PS 7" - but loved Anotherloverholenyohead, Do U Lie, Sometimes It Snows In April - magic!!

I don't have any photos yet, (shall get on to that at some stage though!) but this is what I have.

Its a bit embarrassing compared to you guys, not too much into getting all the rare valuable stuff, just the entire album collection on the 3 formats (CD, Vinyl, Cassette) and the 12" Vinyl singles.

As I go along if I see a rare item that I love, I will get it. I use pretty much all my stuff, it gives me great joy to play it/touch it/ eat it/wear it/read it LOL Not looking to sell later on, its all going to be well used and enjoyed by the time I depart this world.
