Bad Girl- Kiss of death!

Hi everyone,
I will have to apologise in advance for a possible absence for a week or so, as I am having computer issues.

My 1yr old laptop died on me, got the blue screen of death while I was watching a rental DVD (some dumb bollywood movie-curses!)! Now it wont startup, wont accept recovery disks and has to go for repairs. I feel like Maddy in the Bad Girl vid, except my kiss of death was from a Vista blue screen, not Christopher Walken, and my cat didnt hiss to warn me!

In the meantime I am on a backup laptop which is not broadband capable, so I had to sign up for a temporary dialup account. I only get 30 hours a month on it, so I will have to cut back on my luxuries, like hanging out here! And I dont even know how long this laptop will last, as I stopped using it years ago when it started shutting off after 15 mins of overheating- bah! So Im only getting online to check emails and keep up with my Trademe stuff at present, hoping this will not agitate it into the 15 minute shutoff routine.

Fingers crossed they fix my laptop pronto and I will be back soon.

Well isn't this wonderful, my computer got to the repairman and he turns it on- no problems!
Its going just fine and dandy and needs no repairs. &*)%$#!!!!!
I only spent like 3 hours trying to get it to boot up, to no avail...

I tell ya, it was the curse of the Kabbalah Red String. I got hubby to put it on me the other week, and little did I know, he was secretly pissed off at me for something and didnt have any nice vibes going on when he tied it on.

Since then, I've had rotten luck.

So I snipped the wretched string off my wrist and my luck has completely turned around- SPOOKY!

oooohhhhh, i think dont do it on all accounts, lol. that pepsi sadly would taste exactly the same with all the sugar and leave ya feeling guttered, and the henna........ might be cheaper to get it done for ya. dunno bout the Madge hoodoo but, if ya open it it might spoil the Antisi......pat......ion!!!!

Pepsi tastes like crap whether its 1 day or 10yrs old.
Hubby warned me not to attempt it either. That was after he absolutely forbid me to pay more than $2 for any can of Pepsi, rare Madonna can or not! What a killjoy... lol

You can get henna done on Willis St, down towards the Lambton Quay area. It's a tiny little shop whose name escapes me, but I saw their sign in the window one day a few months back and "Ooh, Frozen".

Solution for the Pepsi thing: Buy a can of Sprite. Print off a photo of Madonna with brown hair and a blonde streak. Attach to Sprite can with sellotape. Drink it with eyes slighty squinty and blurry.

I get my henna done in Newtown, very cheap and we have a great time laughing, eating, drinking chai and gossipping. Its very time consuming though, have to have my hands wrapped and leave it on for hours. People think I have an injury all wrapped up lol

Thats how I found my lady, I rocked on up at the Indian Grocer and asked where to get Mehndi done and he pointed me in the right direction. Prices will vary, I pay $15 for a full hand, palm and back.

You have to give them a few days notice though, so they can make the henna.

I love mehndi, its such a beautiful art form. In summer I am going to get my feet done too- cant wait!

ooohhh i want my feet done too now. are there more authentic ones than others. i mean from a spiritual level? i would like them to be able to replicate the frozen etc mehindi from Madonna. is this something that is standard and all should know or are there variants on this?

I do have a photo of an opened henna kit (go back to the last page). One of the henna packs I have has been opened, so the contents has "playability" - although none of the contents have been opened - ie: like the henna bag and the oils, etc. Yep, mananged to get your "stuff" shipped today, Gen.
