PostSubject: Madonna classics on the radio   Mon Sep 15, 2008 7:02 am

I work in a call centre with MoreFM blaring all day. So we get golden oldies pumped into our office whether we like it or not.

Always gives me the warm fuzzies whenever a classic Maddy tune comes on.

Here's my list of ones heard so far:

- Dress You Up (7" remix, bizzarely - the fact that I spotted that proves I'm insane)
- Like a Prayer (7" with fade - again, insane, but I heard an electric guitar as it faded out, so that irrefutably proves it)
- Into The Groove (the original mix, remarkably)
- Holiday (Immaculate Collection mix)
- Express Yourself (album version)
- Beautiful Stranger (radio edit)
- True Blue (7" edit, presumably)
- Hung Up (full-length album mix)
- Sorry (single edit)
- 4 Minutes (all the frickin' time...)

Random anecdote: being driven by my grandparents in their van, they switch More FM on and its, randomly, "Madonna Hour". My grandparents knew all the words to "Cherish".

You guys got any to add?

You're lucky, when I was your age, every radio station basically refused to play Madonna AT ALL. Not sure if it was as bad in NZ - but I guess it meant the only way to hear her was to buy her records (or watch music video shows on tv).

a lot at The Warehouse and Warehouse Stationery. La Isla is another they play often as well.

The other day I got in the car and they were playing Material Girl Extended Dance version! But then they played Papa Don't Preach right after- that was when I realised I had a cassette in the player LOL

LOL. Nice goin'.

I have a cassette adaptor for my iPod - I just plug it in and pick a playlist, and I'm ready to go. Heehee.
