Does anyone have a scan of this article or know where to find the "Hidden Gems" they had in this mag?

I'll scan it for you...(Brad has most of these on mp3 btw)...the article also does tell you where you can purchase the tracks ie: on which albums, etc. (sorry, if I make the quality any better it will take too long - there's about seven pages!)

It's not an easy magazine to find here in NZ. Fleur also said that Real Groovy have it in Auckland (but she missed out on a copy and bought my spare one). I had to order mine from Germany - only this one guy on eBay was selling it!! It was the July issue, so there should be cheaper used copies on eBay by now (I paid about $27.00 per copy including shipping for mine!?! (just insane, really) - but it is well worth having for the collector....). The whole mag is an interesting read.....

The only other thing I can suggest is phone Whitcoulls - if they don't have something they will order it if they can (might be a problem now that this is a back issue though)....

I've referred back to my 1998 issue MANY times - this has current values (for the time) of all her American releases.

The rack by the bargain CD's? They must have put one out, I did look there on Friday, wasn't there. Unless some drongo hid it away and RG found it and put it back....I'm guilty of 'hiding' things so I guess this was my karma lol

Teehee. I did that with her records the other day! Someone had shuffled half the vinyl into the "M" section, so I put them all back under "madonna". Then I stood back, nodded to myself, put a finger to my chin and went, "I've made a difference today." Lol, fat chance, we all own what's on offer anyway.

Go get your copy!

LOL@ the records shifted in the "M" section!

I saw that too, but thought someone was hiding them so I left them there. I always search around the Madonna section in case someone is hiding something I want lmao

They did that at Slowboat Records a few days ago. All her stuff was shuffled into the generic "M" bin and only one record of hers was under her name in the boxes. (That bootleg green sleeve copy of "Angel". Turn it up.)

The guy at the counter told me he was a "fan" but didn't really know his stuff. He got 'Rain' and 'American Life' muddled: said his favourite video was the one she did for 'Rain' "with the short dark hair and that army combat uniform." Crikey dick.

LOL Theyre funny those guys, whenever I go in on a Friday theyre always having drinks at the counter and talking the weirdest shit. Last week they were talking about whether one of the other guys needed the shots recommended for a trip to Thailand, and if it would protect him against STD's. As I paid for my stuff I suggested he forget the shots and just use a rubber.

LOL. Certainly a better answer than "Just avoid the risk altogether and become a priest".
