PostSubject: Madonna's Favourite Perfumes   Tue Jul 29, 2008 12:30 pm

I've had a look around and not too sure on the accuracy of these claims, but apparently these are favourites of hers over the years.

These are ones I believe are accurate:

- Gardenia Passion by Annick Goutal (Confirmed by Christopher Ciccone in his book)
- Youth Dew by Estee Lauder (Numerous sources dating back to the 80's)
- Nanadebary Classic Pink (quite a few references to this one by esteemed perfume bloggers)

These ones I'm not too sure of, but are mentioned in various places on the net:

Creed Fleurissimo, Masaki Matsushima Mat, Creative Scentualization Perfect Veil, Aftelier Pink Lotus, Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison, Caron Nocturnes (love).
IF(orders it in bulk), Folavril, Dirt by Demeter, Eau D'Hadrien, Folavril, Child, Grand Amour, Narcisse Noir, Nahema, JP Gaultier, Lorenzo Villoresi(Sting & Trudy commisioned LV to create a custom musky oriental scent as a birthday gift), Pois De Senteur, Habit Rouge, Tuberose Indiana, Kisu, Escentric Molecules Molecule 01

I am looking to import a bottle of Gardenia Passion soon, and will be offering samples once it arrives-yay!

I wonder why she hasn't launched her own fragrance? I mean, she's done everything else, from children's books, fashion designing, to now directing...

I don't think it interests her at all. With the swag of celebrity perfumes out there these days, it would be seen as following the pack. I would be the first in line if she ever did though!
I would love to create a line of fragrances using her songs as inspiration, but perfumery is so expensive Sad If I win Lotto, I would set myself up a little perfumery lab, all kitted out with everything I need. OMG that would be the ultimate for me!

There ARE a couple of unofficial perfumes called "Madonna" out there, one in the UK (sold by Tesco's), but you can buy it on eBay (have heard it's quite nice), and another one, in a really cool bottle, just called "Madonna" - also can be bought on eBay.

PostSubject: Might go check them out   Wed Jul 30, 2008 4:52 am

Found this on google, what a laugh...

MADONNA has signed a $9.5 million (GBP5 million) deal to launch her own perfume range to coincide with the release of her new album DEFYING GRAVITY.

The MATERIAL GIRL is following in the footsteps of fellow pop stars J.LO and BRITNEY SPEARS by releasing her own scent - originally titled MADONNA.

Both the perfume and new album - the follow-up to 2003's AMERICAN LIFE - have been carefully planned to simultaneously hit stores in November (05), ready for the Christmas shopping boom.

The Kabbalah devotee will be performing at London's star-studded LIVE 8 gig in Hyde Park on 2 July (05).

Haha yeah, well, maybe a scent wouldn't hurt her these days. She's not exactly "big news" in New Zealand is she? A bit of synergetic marketing might help.

On the other side of the coin, looking at the photos just released of her all bony, skinny, no cheeks, thinking of a breathy voiceover saying "Smell just like Madonna" makes me wanna go "Euwww".

(Admittedly its a bad angle and may have been digitally altered. But still. Euwww.)

Aside from the fact that only people like Lana Cockcroft and Sally Ridge would want to be big in New Zealand, watch this:
