| I've got all four of the UK shaped picture discs (Crazy For You, Into the Groove, Dress You Up and Borderline), had one Dress You Up that had discoloured a bit and one that was broken, sold those, but was wondering what causes them to discolour?? You see alot on ebay that have done that... I was thinking it may be exposure to sunlight, or maybe just the manufactering process, but why have only some started to discolour and not others???
LOVE your Lucky Star 12"!!!! Have never seen that one - I have a couple of the Aust. Borderline Triple Mix 12" PS and the pink Holiday 12" PS. Once saw a tatty PS 12" Burning Up on ebay Aust. - but passed, it went for about AUS$60.00, but looked crap. The Holiday, Borderline & Burning UP 12" sleeves are all unique to Australia. Not sure about the Lucky Star one - but I know those are - which makes them alot more valuable - Betweeen $125 - 145.00 (depending on where you look - eg: 991.com). |

| The Lucky Star is from the UK. BTW, here is another fav of mine, it's one of the best (I believe) official picture disc madonna has ever released. It's another UK gem of Like A Virgin, it even comes with it's own die cut sleeve. | |

| I think it has to do with the manufacturing, it can't be exposure to light as all mine have always been stored away in dark cupboards!! Still riles me up though as with the Dress you up it's only just started to happen!! after all these years!! | "Have I seen it" ... lol, Shane, you sold me a copy! Gorgeous white colour - even my parents were amazed.
You also sold me that broken picture disc of Dress You Up. It's stuffed into my cupboard somewhere, probably getting darker. Lol

| Hey, but you got that for next to nothing....that one is WAY darker than all the others even normally though...can you imagine how pissed off I was with the person who posted me that, with two others that, amazingly, survived the trip. |

| Ooh, virgin post here.. The reason plastic turns yellow with age is due to U/V light, heat & oxygen, so pretty much no avoiding it. Keeping them out of the sun & in a cool dry place will help, but oxygen alone is enough to turn it yellow. There are products on the market (I have never tried any) that supposedly restore plastic to their original colour, such as PlastX Clear Plastic Cleaner & Polish. I would be a bit wary of their claims & maybe try them on the 'broken disc in the cupboard somewhere' rather than risk ruining something valuable. Will also vary depending on the quality of the plastic, manufacturers use optical brighteners to make plastic look clearer, but after a while I think these migrate to the surface. you could try coating them with a spray of clear UV resistant, how that affects how a disc plays is another story though. | |

| Wow, that's interesting. I may have to do a little research. Especially if the rest go the same way. Oh well such as life. I do have the virgin white record by the way, it is very nice, would love the Canadian version though which I do not have and probably never will, but never say never!! I never thought I would ever come across a copy of Dear Jessie picture CD single and actually I never did, it was bought for me by someone else still I never thought I would actually own it. | |

Yeah, but Gen, plastic cd cases, and coloured vinyl are so not the same thing....
I was just having a rant at having to fork out for another BS and STR because of the yellowing, didnt mean they were the same material

| Mine haven't either. I got a copy of Something To Remember with a picture disc! Orange flowers on a white background. It was at Real Groovy in the bargain bins, so I had no idea it was a picture disc. I think I got it through pot luck, lol. Regular Version My copy Or am I wrong and all the Something To Remember discs look like that? | |

| This is my very rare LAP picture disc (very simialr in looks to the Cherish cd single): Some info on this "mysterious" release: I emailed Parrish about this, and he said yes, it's real, after seeing one auctioned over in England (he said it sold for over GBP100.00). He runs buysellmadonna.com, one of the largest Madonna sites.

| No, mines like your first pic - std. Yours is some sort of special issue...
On 991.com it says some of the Asain versions are "GOLD" editions with gold cd's - is yours from Asia?

| Anyone got any 3" Japan CD singles? they are really quite unique in that they come in a snap pack. I've only got Spotlight which was the first one to be released. | |

| I only have Vogue - but am happy just to have this. These 3" cd singles are always really popular on eBay. |

| 3" inch cd's need adaptors though to play (and I do have a couple) - they used to come free with some when cd singles first came out. I don't think I've opened the pack on mine. The Vogue one seems to sell for quite alot... |
