| From madonnatribe (love those guys): - Quote :
- Starting today US radios are being serviced with the one track promo for Miles Away, Madonna's new great single from Warner Bros Records off the Hard Candy album.
Some radios have already received the single which includes the Radio Edit version of the song.
Here are some scans of the CD and its front and back covers that as you can see do not feature Madonna but a nice design made of some stamps of the European tour stops of the Sticky & Sweet Tour on a pattern that reminds of an old passport.
Be sure to request the song on your local radio so that you can help make it big in the US charts! What do you guys think? It'll look awesome as a 12" single cover!! Edit: I just realised: all the stamps correspond to tour dates! eg. Athens 27 Sept.

I really like this song - would like to hear some alternate versions. Wonder when it's released here? |

| It is the 2nd best song on the album (the best being "Devil Wouldn't Recognise You").
I hope we'll get some good remixes. I'd like to hear Craig J. remix Miles Away - his mix of "Love Profusion" is a fave of mine.

| I like the Flashlight Extended Mix, don't know who its by though. They don't butcher it up with those god-awful 'dorf dorf' rave noises thank god.
What do you think of the meaning of the song?
I don't think its a love song lamenting about being away from the one you love. To me it almost sounds like they're strangers and not very happy, and how they are better off when they're apart.

| "these three words are never enough, when we're 6000 miles apart" sounds like a break up song to me "we're at our best, when we're miles away" i think it sums up Madge and her estranged hubby of hers. 6000 miles sounds like uk to la to me? living seperate lives, dosent sound like fun to me. and with her busy schedule, hard to fit all the pieces in. in my humble opinion cough, cough | |

| Yeah, thats the vibe I kinda got from it too, a breakup song.
"If you could see me the way you see yourself I can't pretend to be someone else."
"I'm alright, don't be sorry, but it's true When I'm gone you'll realize That I'm the best thing that happened to you "
It doesn't sound like a very positive song about loving someone.

| Yes! It's about communication breakdown in a relationship, and how they can only say what they really want to say to each other when they're apart. (That's why they're at their best miles away - and presumably can only say "I love you" to each other down a phone line....." It's like a rehash of "absence makes the heart grow fonder" and that they take each other for granted when they're together. Still, it's more positive a break up song than "Till Death Us Do Part." |
