Get them both hun, they're both fab!
Instinct says to get the pins because there's more of them, but then how cool are those picks? You dont see them as easily as pins (which can be made on a home pin-maker for next to nothing.)
Gun to my head, I would say picks.

You can find Madonna pins at the Marlborough Fair, for God's sake. Guitar picks are much cooler.

they're actually quite reasonable though, especially the badges! (well, I know the price for the picks is only the starting bid though - but it has no bids yet...).
